Local football3 Tournaments Bring Young People Together in Athens.

On May 28th, ActionAid Hellas successfully organized two local football3 tournaments in Athens, bringing together 132 children and young people in a celebration of inclusion, teamwork and fair play.

The tournaments demonstrated that sport is about much more than winning. Through the football3 methodology, participants experienced the values of respect, cooperation, dialogue, and acceptance, showing how football can become a powerful tool for social inclusion and active participation.

The event was filled with energy, enthusiasm and smiles, while spectators including families and local residents of Kolonos, came together to support the young players throughout the day.

Even the rain could not dampen the participants’ enthusiasm, as the matches continued with the same passion and excitement.

The tournaments were made possible thanks to the valuable collaboration of Bala Patisia (SCI Hellas), the Hellenic Olympic Committee, METAdrasi, Organisation Earth, Lakoniki Scholi – Fragki Schools and Colonos FC, whose contribution helped create a truly inclusive and memorable experience for all participants.
