Launching the DIALECT4 Project: Promoting Inclusion Through Football
The kick-off meeting of the DIALECT4 project took place in Athens, Greece, on 6th and 7th February 2025. This meeting marked the beginning of the project’s mission to build on the partnership’s five years of experience in implementing the DIALECT football for inclusion methodology. The project, which has previously worked with adolescents in disadvantaged communities in Greece, Italy, Hungary, and Serbia, now aims to address the emerging need for early-age intervention, focusing on children aged 10-12. DIALECT4 seeks to combat radicalization and enhance resilience against intolerant rhetoric and extremist beliefs, both in society and in the realm of sports. During the meeting, the partnership set the timeline and initial planning of activities, with research activities set to begin soon, and next steps were carefully outlined to guide the project’s progress.
